Chicago Takes My Heart, Things to do in Chicago

Chicago Takes My Heart, Things to do in Chicago

Last weekend was one for the books, and I’ll tell you that life after college is hard but meeting with your college friends is the best of times, especially if it’s on your birthday weekend. ūüôā I took a trip to Chicago, IL for the weekend and I haven’t been there since I was my little self. I didn’t remember it, but after this¬†trip,¬†I can never forget this beautiful city!
The thing is, Chicago took my heart when I landed back in Connecticut I wanted to turn back around and go back to the Windy City. It was full of artistic, beautiful things, a lot of man buns (a.k.a. hipsterville), unique coffee shops and a wonderful world of music. It won my heart, and I HAVE to go back soon. Maybe summer??? There were so many things my friends, and I did that I had to narrow down to a list of my favorite things we explored and I hope you enjoy!

Chicago’s Grand Michigan Ave.

Chicago's grand Michigan ave.
Michigan Avenue is where all the shopping and photo spot of the city are at. If you want to be in the hustle and bustle of the city walk down this lovely Avenue. I recommend to do it only on a day that isn’t too windy.

Bridge in the business district of chicago
This bridge was wow and always in the financial district of CHI town. A lot of good photo ops and a fun walk of the city.

Local Chicago coffee
COFFEE. Okay, there are so many coffee spots to choose from. Intelligentsia is a go to for many around the area and I would go back there because of great coffee and the aesthetic.

pizzaria in wicker park chicago, il
Wicker Park not only is one the cutest neighborhoods in Chicago but it has great food options as well. We stopped in for some fantastic pizza and sandwiches.

Chicago subway station
Walking is always a good option in the city but so are the trains! Driving can be a little hectic going into the city. So, catching the train can save you time and be and overall better experience.

The famous Bean of Chicago’s sculptures

The bean in millennium park
The Bean in Millenium Park is always a significant part of Chicago. That is why I wanted to see it is all its glory.
